Tsum Valley Trekking is an exciting as well as sacred Himalayan pilgrimage trekking circuit unfolding the mysteries of Tibetan Buddhist land sequestered in the Himalayan valleys. Situated in northern Gorkha, Nepal.’Tsum’ word is derived from the Tibetan word ‘Tsombo’ which means vivid. The Tsum Valley Trekking takes you into the majestic surroundings of the Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal, and Boudha Himal ranges. The people of Tsum Valley or the Tsumbas belong to Tibetan origin with their own ancient form of dialect, art, culture and religion. The Tsum Valley lies on the northern part of Manaslu. The Tsum people have their own way of family life, which may be quite surprising for many outsiders.

Tsum Valley Trekking is known as the Beyul Kyimolung, the holy hidden valley of happiness, first described by Guru Rimpoche (Padmasambhava) in the eighth century. The Tsum Valley Trekking starts at Arughat, a seven hours drive from Kathmandu. We follow the trekking trail all along the Budhi Gandaki Valley through a mix of dense forest, terraced fields and hill villages. We leave the main Manaslu Trail for the Tsum valley; which provides us with the surprising feel of entering the hidden valley. The entire trekking trail provides is with the glimpses of trails stewn with artistic chortens, artistic mani walls made out of thousands of stone slabs carved with drawings of deities and inscribed with prayers. The famous Kyimo Lung a pilgrimage circuit in the Trans-Himlayas is a well known place of learning and meditation. We also pass through the alpine forests, glacial rivers, and enjoy the warm hospitality of ethnic people, along with the lower Buri Gandaki regions of Liding, Machhakhola, Jagat and Philim. Due to its aloofness and inaccessibility, this sacred valley and its inhabitants have been overlooked or unknowingly ignored by the mainstream development for centuries and still continue to be the same.

Tsum Valley Trekking trail is quite a difficult trek, requires, patience, endurance as well as enthusiasm to experience the hidden secrets while traversing along a unique path of the highest quality.
